As poorly worded as the first part of this description is (hassle), personally I can excuse it because it seems like a misguided attempt to acknowledge the difficulties of engaging in a romantic relationship that some see as anomalous.
But "shake things up"??? I'm not some mammy carnival ride for you to bring home to your racist family to " shake things up " from your normal white girl routine. Yuck...
